All content previously purchased with BioWare Points will continue to be available. As you can see, what’s missing is the first Mass Effect game, Mass Effect Andromeda, and Dragon Age Inquisition, aka the oldest Mass Effect game and the two newest games in each respective franchise.
After October 11, the boxes will only be available for in-game credits. DLC for some classic Mass Effect and Dragon Age games can now be claimed for free thanks to EA ditching its old currency of BioWare Points. BioWare is giving Mass Effect and Dragon Age fans free DLC spanning the following titles: Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3, Dragon Age Origins, and Dragon Age Origins. BioWare Points can be purchased if you want to buy more multiplayer loot boxes for Mass Effect 3. Dragon Age: Origins has a lot of story DLC which is now free and Dragon Age 2 has an expansion with very key plot implications for Dragon Age Inquisition. Most DLC for games that used to be distributed with BioWare Points are now free.Other currencies for BioWare games (such as crystals or platinum) remain in place. (Unfortunately it doesnt work with games downloaded through Origin for some reason, which is what I need in the first place.
